Founded by Nana Duncan—a breast cancer survivor whose journey through healing awakened a deep passion for elder care—Kharis was created with love, purpose, and a commitment to making a difference. During her treatment, Nana found meaning in caring for others, especially the elderly, and envisioned a place where aging is embraced with kindness and honor. After her recovery, she turned that vision into reality by establishing Kharis Companion Personal Care Home.
The name Kharis, meaning “GRACE,” reflects the heart of our philosophy: to serve with kindness, patience, and compassion. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering personalized care that meets the unique needs of each resident, while promoting independence, connection, and quality of life.
